Setting a default resource

Setting a default resource helps the system automatically suggest a preferred resource for bookings. This is especially useful when multiple similar resources are available and you want to standardize the primary choice.

Why is a default important?

  • Faster booking: requires fewer manual decisions during the booking process.
  • Balanced workload: you can define which resource should receive typical bookings.
  • Consistent operation: if no special rules apply, the system always starts from the same baseline.

Setup steps

  1. Open the resource detail page.
  2. Enable the Default resource option.
  3. After saving, check that this resource appears as the default on the booking interface.

If multiple resources are suitable for the same role, keep in mind that setting a default does not exclude the use of other resources—it simply provides a starting point.
